Day 2 of Family Trip to Orlando
Tuesday, June 9, 2026
On Day 2 of my family trip to Orlando we started with a trip to Aquatica. We got there right when they opened and the lines weren't bad at all. I like that there are slides the whole family can enjoy together and they have a "crazy" river along with the regular "lazy" river. We enjoyed just putting on life jacket and floating through the crazy river rapids multiple times. They even have slides that go through a dolphin enclosure which is different.
You can also get adult beverages, I got a Orlando Vice ($15.99) which is rum with a blend of pina colada & strawberry daquiri. It was good but not entirely frozen. Since we had free breakfast at the hotel I wasn't starving for lunch so I shared an Island Time Pork Sandwich with mango slaw and fries with my mom which was the perfect amount of food for us.
In the late afternoon it was starting to get cloudy so we headed back to the hotel to shower and rest.
For dinner, we decided to go to The Boathouse at Disney Springs. We didn't have a reservation but put our name on the list and did a little shopping until we got the text our table was ready. We sat outside right on the water with a nice view of the vintage amphicars (boats that look like cars).
To start, they bring out some delicious bread and we shared a few items:
Main Lobster Bisque with chives & oyster crackers
$9, it was creamy and rich
Jumbo Lump Crab & Avocado with tarragon remoulade
$22, it's an appetizer but a large amount of food, came with roasted red peppers too, highly recommend
Cedar Planked Faroe Islands Salmon with baby carrots, broccolini, lemon vinaigrette
$35.50, it was tasty and a good way to get in some healthy fats and veggies
After dinner we walked around Disney Springs some more before heading back to the hotel for the evening.
