Every year, the Florida Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics has their annual Food And Nutrition Symposium (FANS) where nutrition professionals can get together to network and attend seminars to learn about the latest nutrition information. This year it was held in Orlando at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress from Friday to Sunday and symposium attendees were able to stay for a discounted price.
The hotel was a dream. I checked in and was offered a glass of complimentary champagne. The lobby has a lovely water feature with a macaw. There was a beautiful pool area with water slides, caves, and waterfalls. They had a pool bar with yummy frozen drinks, of course I had to get a pina colada to match the vacation vibe. There was a sandy beach with hammocks to relax on as well as walking paths with beautiful flowers and fountains.
For dinner on Friday, I visited one of their onsite restaurants, Lakehouse Restaurant & Bar, which included a sushi bar. I was able to watch the sushi chefs create the rolls, ask questions, and try their creative dishes and sip on delicious sake drinks.

delicious and large roll but was a bit pricey for what you got

Seared Scallop, Lobster Salad, Avocado, Tempura Flakes, Toasted Sesame Sauce
another delicious option, very tasty sauce, got to see the sushi chef use a blow torch to sear the scallop while sitting at the sushi bar
